January Game Spotlight – Super Triple Play Jackpots

This month, we are featuring an exciting game called Super Triple Play Jackpots.

Super Triple Play Jackpots blends two all-time favorite games into one and offers some great bonus potential. As with the traditional Super Triple Play game, all four of a kind jackpots are increased. In addition, there’s a virtual on-screen bonus wheel spin, with a 20,000 or progressive credit slice for the top bonus award.

All members earn 2X Players Club points for playing and can play Super Triple Play Jackpots right now by clicking here.

By popular demand, the 7-Star tourney will now feature both video poker and keno games, each played in separate brackets. And we’ve increased the prize pool from $500 to $1,000 ($500 for each bracket)!

If you’re not familiar with the 7-star tourney, all members have a chance to earn stars during the first three weeks of the month. Stars are earned based on your amount of play, the number of achievements you have earned, and how many days you play during the month. Only members that have earned 7 stars in a month qualify for the tourney.

Winners in the 7-Star Tourney also earn an entry into the Tournament of Champions.

The 2019 Tournament of Champions is quickly approaching. Round One will begin on Monday, January 6th. 1,089 people qualified during 2019 and will be competing for a Las Vegas Dream Vacation valued at over $5,000!

Click here to see who has qualified and for information on how to qualify for next year’s tournament.

Congratulations to Gree, our latest iPad winner. Gree qualified with 76 contest sessions in December. We've also awarded GOLD memberships to 10 other random winners.

At the end of every month, we have a random drawing and award a brand new iPad to one lucky winner and GOLD memberships to 10 other winners. Each contest session you play during the month is a chance to earn an entry into the drawing, so the more sessions you play, the better your chance of winning!

Since all contests are playable on mobile devices, Gree will be able to play on a brand new iPad!

I was at a bar in Vegas recently meeting up with a coworker when in walks none other than Stephen Toblowsky from Groundhog Day! (watch out for that first step, it's a doozy!) He sits down right next to me as I'm playing some Double Double and says 'How are the cards today.' Jokingly, I say 'Seems like the same cards one day after another.' He didn't get it, but I thought it was funny. I think the bartender got it because she started laughing. He didn’t stick around too long, and I didn't win anything that day, but I have a new story I can tell my grandkids the rest of my life.

On our way out of town and stopped at Borgata to play $80 free slot dollars. Sure glad I did! About 10 minutes into the session the 5x multiplie. In the Big Wins section of the forum, i have a picture of being dealt the Royal on a three-line machine... Playing the max, it was a 12K hit.
Was very nice!

Here's the picture he's talking about:

Isn't that the hand when the 10X multiplier is supposed to show up? Or would asking for that be greedy? :)
Been dealt one royal in my life: on a nickel multi-strike game, second level as I recall...Super times video poker jackpots
Lack of prior planning on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on my part.

VideoIdeally yes that is when it should show up. :) When playing Double Super Times Pay (not regular STP), if you get a dealt royal with any deal multiplier (1 in 15 chance for deal multiplier), you automatically get a 10x Deal and a 10x Draw multiplier for a total multiplier of 20x. In terms of video poker 'jackpots' it's probably the biggest one I'm aware of. It should happen once every 9.74 million deals on average.

Wow, just once for that to happen... :)

I got my first Royal last month on a cruise. The payouts were awful (6/5) on the normal video poker machines at a quarter, so I was playing the nickel spin poker, 3 lines, which strangely was 7/5. Still not great, but at 75 cents a spin, it was worth the entertainment.

Last month, the guy sitting next to me hit a dealt royal flush while playing 25 cent 5 line Ultimate X. He had a 12x multiplier on the bottom line, his total win was $18k.

Nice hit!
And sometimes payouts between machine work that way. For example, the best paying machine I am aware of at the Imperial Palace (now The Quad) in Las Vegas, is a nickel, dime, quarter All Star Poker machine that offers 7/5 Bonus Poker with Super Times Pay (STP). The STP bonus bet makes that machine better paying than all their other 7/5 Bonus machines they have.
Also when JoB pays as low as 6/5 or even 7/5, it's nice to know how to play other poker variants and what their paytables pay because it's likely one of them is higher paying. One time I told someone next to me he should be playing 6/5 Bonus Poker w/Double STP vs. 6/5 JoB w/Double STP because he'll get paid more on quad Aces, 2s, 3s, and 4s and exactly the same on everything else. He listened to me, and he ended up hitting quad Aces within 10 minutes for an extra $13.75. For machines commonly available for nickels, playing 6/5 Bonus is better than 7/5 JoB as well.

Thanks for the great suggestion. I have recently begun learning the proper strategies on Deuces Wild and Double Double Bonus poker. I was doing this more for variety, but you have pointed out another good reason for me to get better acquainted with the other games strategies.

Ditto this--I was playing 3 play Triple Double Bonus for quarters and got dealt quad 3s. I hit one kicker for a total of $700. Playing 50 hands for a penny I was dealt quad 7s for $125. I figure I'm not likely to see a royal with the small amount of playtime I get so I may as well play the games that pay a lot for quads.
Each of us is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts. Preparing for a fight about your bad decision is not as smart as making a good decision.

I am one of the few people in this spot that plays 10 hands at 5 cents each instead. Considering one of my 3 royals lifetime was dealt to me on a penny machine (pg. 4 has pic), I am glad I did since it added ~$150 to the payout. It can happen; I just wish I was playing more than 6 hands at that moment!
